In November 2010, Dr. Anna-Maria Diehl finished her PhD at the University of Mainz and started her career at ALTANA as a trainee in Corporate Innovation. The program was designed to run for two years during which she completed strategic projects in ALTANA’s four divisions as well as cross-divisional projects. This has given her the chance to prepare for further tasks and to establish a wide network within the Group. After her traineeship, she started in May 2013 as Manager Strategic Business Development at BYK-Chemie GmbH. An additional education as Corporate Foresight Manager at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel helped her to implement a scouting and technology foresight platform. Since January 2017, she has been Head of New Business Development at ACTEGA GmbH. In this role her responsibilities include establishing a new business development process in a decentralized organization as well as leading new business development lighthouse projects. Advanced knowledge and practice in different innovation methods, a proven ability to combine strategic long-term thinking with daily work business, as well as enthusiasm to make things happen and to achieve goals have been fundamental aspects of her development so far.
